The second episode of the podcast series Long Live the Diaspora! explores how civil society groups move from being spoken about to becoming active political actors. Titled “From Object to Subject,” the episode highlights Afro-diasporic perspectives on integration, social cohesion, and political participation in Germany.

Listeners hear how members of African diasporas reflect on their role in shaping society — not merely as objects of debate, but as subjects seeking political agency and representation. As in the first episode, personal voices are combined with academic context to deepen understanding of diaspora engagement.
