In the 75th anniversary issue of the renown academic journal “International Organization”, a number of renowned scholars addressed the multiple challenges the Liberal International Order is facing today. The launch event picks up on this and puts the following questions at the centre of the discussion: Why is the existing order currently under pressure? And what are possible future perspectives of (re-) structuring the international political order? Among the speakers are Thomas Risse (Professor of International Politics at Otto-Suhr-Institute, Freie Universität Berlin), David Lake (Professor of Social Science and Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego), and Prof. Beth A. Simmons (Andrea Mitchell University Professor of Law, Political Science and Business Ethics at the University of Pennsylvania).
