Short Talk | In Future #1 Wealth and In.Equality with Martyna B. Linartas at the Berlin Science Week
Short Talk: In Future #1 Wealth and In.Equality
What to do about wealth inequality in liberal democracies that are inheritance societies rather than meritocracies? Journalist Adrian Schulz interviews SCRIPTS junior researcher Martyna B. Linartas on political and social challenges of rising and extreme inequality. Of unequal wealth — history or a story that still needs to be told in future?
Martyna Berenika Linartas is political scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Excellence Cluster Contestations of the Liberal Scripts (SCRIPTS). She holds an M.A. in Political Science and teaches in international political economy at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin and Hochschule für Gesellschaftgestaltung in Koblenz. She worked as press officer referee for the Headquarters of the German Green Party during the federal elections in 2017 and thereinafter as social media referee for Annalena Baerbock. Martyna is founder of ungleichheit.info – a platform that transfers knowledge and information on inequality from academia to the general public – in order to comprehend, convey, and challenge inequality. Besides she is also involved in the Forum New Economy and the campaign by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung on Erben verpflichtet!
