Amrita Narlikar, President of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and Principal Investigator at SCRIPTS, talks to the news outlet Tagesschau from German public broadcaster ARD about the current position of India in the war in Ukraine. Prime minister Modi advocates for immediate peace, but nevertheless, India is buying cheap oil from Russia. India tries to distance itself from China, but that might be even more difficult with strong China-Russia relationships.
