Tannas Michel

Research Associate seconded to the Crisis Prevention, Stabilization, Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Aid Department at the German Federal Foreign Office

Tannas Michel is a Research Associate in the Cluster of Excellence "Contestation of the Liberal Script" (SCRIPTS), at the Free University of Berlin, with a secondment to the department for Crisis Prevention, Stabilization, Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Aid, in the German Federal Foreign Office. Tannas Michel also works as conflict consultant for Forum Civil Peace Service (forumZFD), in the project "Municipal Conflict Counseling". She is also active as mediator, has offered conflict resolution and mediation training courses and has facilitated workshops with a number of government agencies, NGOs, and community groups in Germany. Before joining SCRIPTS, she worked at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik, SWP), Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and for the Belgium Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the German Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs (AA).
