Senior Researcher, Research Project "Impact Hub: Integrated Efficacy of Integrated Action for Peace”

Tannas Michel is a senior researcher in the Cluster of Excellence "Contestation of the Liberal Script" (SCRIPTS), at the Free University of Berlin, in the research project “Impact Hub: Integrated Efficacy of Integrated Action for Peace”. Tannas works as a conflict consultant for Pro Peace, in the project "Municipal Conflict Counseling" and is also active as a mediator. She previously was seconded to the German Federal Foreign Office’s department for Crisis Prevention, Stabilization, Peacebuilding, and Humanitarian Aid. 

Prior to joining SCRIPTS, Tannas held positions at the Center for Applied Turkey Studies (CATS), at Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP), Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and the Belgian Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Her research areas include democratic resilience, conflict transformation, mediation, and the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus.
