Senior Researcher, Research Project "Impact Hub: Integrated Efficacy of Integrated Action for Peace”

Gözde Böcü is a Senior Researcher in the Cluster of Excellence "Contestation of the Liberal Script" (SCRIPTS), at the Free University of Berlin, in the research project “Impact Hub: Integrated Efficacy of Integrated Action for Peace”. Previously she held a research position at the German Parliament working for the former Minister of State for European Affairs and Climate at the German Federal Foreign Office Dr. Anna Lührmann, MdB. Prior, Gözde Böcü held a research position at the Citizen Lab in the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto working on issues at the intersection of cybersecurity, democracy and human rights.  

Gözde Böcü holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto. Her research has been published in Democratization, Foreign Policy and Globalizations among others. She has extensive field research experience in marginalized and at-risk communities and is specialized in comparative politics and international relations with expertise in democracy, migration and foreign policy. Her past activities have been supported by the German Exchange Foundation (DAAD) and the German Merit Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes).
