Prof Jürgen Gerhards and Dr Daniel Drewski present on "Cultural Varieties of Framing Refugees: How the Admission or Exclusion of Refugees is Justified in Political Discourses" at the 15th Conference of the European Sociology Association

Principal Investigator Prof Jürgen Gerhards and Postdoctoral student Dr Daniel Drewski were invited to present their research in the framework of SCRIPTS at this year's online-conference of the European Sociological Association (ESA). Their presentation is titled “Cultural Varieties of Framing Refugees: How the Admission or Exclusion of Refugees is Justified in Political Discourses in Six Countries around the Globe”. It will take place as part of the Research Network 35 Sociology of Migration session on "Discourses and Politics of Asylum and Forced Migration" (Chair: Fiammetta Fanizza, University of Foggia) on Friday, 3 September from 12:30pm - 2:00pm.
