The future of participation in political decsions

The Politischer Club der Evangelischen Akademie Tutzingen talked in the conference "Future of Democracy" (Zukunft der Demokratie) about democracy, risks to democracy, and the participation of citizens and democratic processes. Micheal Zürn, Director of SCRIPTS and Professor of International Relations at FU Berlin, said that the parliament currently does not represent around one-third of the population. On the other hand, parliament has given some of its power to central banks, constitutional courts, experts, and international organizations.
