Gwendolyn Sasse, director of the Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS)and Principal Investigator at SCRIPTS, spoke together with political scientist Jan Varwick to Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND) about Ukraine joining the EU. While Varwick considers the current talks surrounding Ukraine's EU admittance to be mainly symbolic, Sasse said the EU must “now implement the values it always postulates”.
