What holds the coalition agreement of the new German government together?

Principal Investigator and Constitutional law expert Christoph Möller comments in an op-ed in the national newspaper Der Spiegel on the fresh coalition contract by SPD, Bündnis 90/die Grünen and FDP. He focuses on the tension between ideological content and pragmatic governance. He observes that the government partners are starting with a technocratic consensus, "a classic liberal idea", to bridge ideological differences.
