Siep Stuurman is a Professor Emeritus of the History of Ideas in Utrecht University. Stuurmann is planning a project with the title “Global historical moments: Frontiers, borders and temporalities of past and future” for his research stay in Berlin. The project attempts to understand the foundations of the liberal script as well as it addresses research questions related to the RUs Borders and Temporality from a historical perspective. Stuurmann’s expertise can also be very relevant for the establishment of the Junior Research Group on Historical Approaches.
