Advice regarding the use of equality devices is offered by the Dual Career & Family Service of FU. The offer is addressed to scientist and finance coordinators of research teams and collaborative research centers.

AStA-FU Counselling for gay, bisexual and trans students: This is a group of open-minded students who deal with queer topics and problems of people from the LGBTIQ+ community. They support a non-discriminatory space at the university and their main focus is on gay, bisexual and trans issues. If topics exceed their expertise, they are also happy to help by referring to professional counselling. All contact is subject to confidentiality and they are committed to creating a safe space. They have a wide range of topics from support and contact point for Homophobia, Bi- & Transphobia, to Information about the transition & name change (at the university and outside).

AStA-FU Counselling for International Students and Students of Color: Counselling for international students and fellow researchers of color. The student counselling offers a separate free legal consultation together with the NBBR Berlin in case of problems with the aliens' registration office (Ausländerbehörde) or general questions regarding residence law.

AStA-FU Counselling for students with special health needs: Counselling for students with disabilities, chronic illness or psychological impairments is based on the principle of peer counseling. This means that the counsellor is affected by discrimination in the same way as those being counseled. The counselling has the claim to help solve problems in an emancipatory and equal way.

AStA-FU Queerfeminist peer support: The queerfeminist peer support is a counselling and information facility for (gender)queer, lesbian, poly-/bi-/pan-/a-sexual persons, trans, inter, lesbians, gender/queers and women etc. who do not identify themselves as cis-men. There’s information ranging from tips for going out, to workshops, to special advice centers and also the possibility to get suggestions for academic papers, e.g. presentations and term papers with a (queer) feminist focus. A small library, numerous magazines and zines etc. are available for this purpose. Support from queers for queers.

AStA-FU Women counselling: The women counselling service supports you with problems and questions about sexism, discrimination at university, sexualized violence, family violence, stalking, multiple discrimination and seeking therapy. The service includes assistance with research and writing of different types of feminist homework, access to a small library with numerous feminist journals, comics, flyers, a collection of feminist seminar papers from recent years and a cis-men-free room with sofas. The women counselling offers a space for people who want advice and support and intends to counteract individualization at the university by mutual support.

In cases of mobbing and stalking, the Central Women’s Representative of HU Berlin offers support in all cases of mobbing and stalking and stands up for those whose rights have been violated.

RefRat-HU Anti-racism counseling: Regardless of whether it is racist comments from other students and lecturers or the content of a lecture or seminar, racism is present for black students and students of color. This is why anti-racist structures and strategies are necessary to make racism visible as a form of dehumanization in everyday university life and to actively counter it. The anti-racism department at the RefRat-HU is there to support you and can also refer you to advice centers. Events are also organized and networking between blacks and PoC students is supported.

RefRat-HU Disability and chronic illness counseling: They are aware that neither "chronic illness", "disability" or "impairment" are the appropriate terms to be able to grasp the multitude of possibilities, but also limitations that result for the people affected. RefRat-HU Queer_feminism counseling: Genderist structures are a permanent reality in everyday university life and continuously reproduce patriarchal-hetero-sexist-violent conditions of discrimination for many. Their work deals with these conditions of oppression, tries to name and change them and to support people negatively affected by discrimination. With information, articles and events, they increase the visibility of queer-feminist criticism and positions. They want to create space for critical discussions and personal exchange. They also offer structural and financial support to queer-feminist groups and initiatives.

Each One Teach One (EOTO) eV is a community-based education and empowerment project in Berlin. Founded in 2012, the association opened its doors as a Kiez library in March 2014 and has been a place for learning and meeting ever since. EOTO eV works together with other organizations for the interests of black, African and Afrodiasporic people in Germany and Europe.
